Opened in 2024, this playground includes swings (including a swing with a carer/adult seat), trampolines, a mouse wheel, a toddler section with tunnel, musical percussion pipes and a large tower with an enclosed slide.

Public toilets are available at the park. There are also toilets and Parents Rooms available at Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, which is a five minute walk away via Belmore Road.

Timed street parking on surrounding streets. Two hours free parking is available at Royal Randwick Shopping Centre.

Coral Sea Park Playground

Large fenced playground including separate areas for younger and older children. The play area for younger children includes a bucket swing, slide, spring toy and a short tunnel. The play area for older children includes swings, a slide, a bridge and climbing wall. There is also an accessible merry-go-round and flat circular rope swing.

The fenced area includes a large grassed area and a short bike path winding around one side of the playground.

There are toilets on the other side of the playing fields which may be open when weekend sport is on.

Street parking on Midway Drive which runs adjacent to the playground. Parking may be difficult during weekends in winter when the playing fields are being used for local sporting competitions.

Inglis Park Playground

Large, multi-level playground featuring swings (including accessible swings), tunnels, slides, climbing mounds and talk tubes all on the ground floor. There is a circular raised platform with further access to the double spiral slides via a climbing net.

Cafes and restaurants are across the lane at the Newmarket precinct, where public toilets are also located.

The playground is illuminated at night, which is helpful for families having dinner at the nearby restaurants.

Parking is the one drawback of this playground. Street parking can be extremely limited, as the playground is located in a busy area (near two schools and across the road from the Prince of Wales and Royal Womens’ Hospitals). However, most street parking nearby is time limited, which does mean there is some turnover in parking spaces.

Features multiple swings (including a nest swing and toddler bucket swings), a climbing mound with slides, a jungle gym with ramp access and double slides, and a flying fox. The majority of the play equipment is not shaded.

There are six designated disabled parking spaces available on Hastings Street, along with street parking.

Located at Clovelly Beach, this park includes climbing equipment, a slide, a nest swing, spring toy, and a wooden boat for imaginative play.

Public toilets are available further up the beach (accessible via footpath) next to the Sea Salt Cafe.

Street parking is available around the beach, with pram access via the footpath near the Sea Salt Cafe or further up near the Surf Life Saving Club. Parking can be difficult to find during summer or on warm weekends.

There are picnic tables, barbecues and a toilet block are nearby. McIvers Baths (exclusively for women and children) and Wylies Baths are not far from the playground.

Kensington Playgrounds

Fitzpatrick Park Playground

Re-opened in 2023, this playground has a fairly large fenced area which includes an established tree and leaf-covered open area.

Play equipment includes swings, a spiral slide, double toddler slide, a climbing rope section for older kids, and a large spring toy. The main play equipment can be accessed by a long ramp suitable for very young children or toddlers.

While there are no shade cloths, surrounding trees provide shade for most of the day.

Parking is available on surrounding streets. It can sometimes be difficult to find a park before 4pm on weekdays as a result of the close proximity to the University of NSW.

Located at Kensington Oval and near the Kensington Community Centre, this fenced playground includes six swings, a small jungle gym with a toddler slide, balance play equipment, spring toy, and a climbing mound with two slides. There is some seating within the fenced area, as well as enough room for toddlers to ride bikes or scooters around. There are also paved pathways outside the fenced area for older children to ride bikes.

There is a basketball half-court outside the fenced area, in front of the community centre. There is also some outdoor gym equipment a short walk from the playground.

Woomera Reserve Playground

Fenced playground able to be accessed by paths from Noora Ave or Nurla Ave. Includes swings, a jungle gym and slide. A Moduplay basketball game is available just outside the fenced area for older kids. A real basketball hoop and concreted area is within sight of the playground. So remember to bring your own ball if you’re keen to practice shooting!

Cromwell Park Playground

Large, fenced playground at Malabar Beach. Includes swings, a small jungle gym with a tunnel and slide for toddlers, a separate jungle gym with monkey bars and a slide for bigger kids, a merry-go-round, and train, boat and cubby house play structures for smaller kids.

There are two water fountains nearby, one within the fenced area (near the toddler swing) and one just outside the fence.

There are public toilets a short walk away in Cromwell Park, as well as picnic tables and barbeques. There is a cafe a short walk away from the playground (Coastal Brasserie Malabar) offering dine in and takeaway. Two high chairs are available for dine in.

Street parking available. As the playground is at the beach, parking can be difficult to find during summer or on warm weekends.

Ella Reserve Playground

Large, fenced playground with three play areas. An inclusive play zone includes an in-ground spinner and nest swing suitable for wheelchair users.

The toddler play zone is in a sunken area in the centre of the playground. It includes a jungle gym, slide and see-saw.

The adventure play zone includes a 2.5 metre slide and climbing equipment. There are also bike racks, picnic tables and a water fountain available.

Alison Park Playground

Opened in 2024, this playground includes swings (including a swing with a carer/adult seat), trampolines, a mouse wheel, a toddler section with tunnel, musical percussion pipes and a large tower with an enclosed slide.

Public toilets are available at the park. There are also toilets and Parents Rooms available at Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, which is a five minute walk away via Belmore Road.

Timed street parking on surrounding streets. Two hours free parking is available at Royal Randwick Shopping Centre.

Bieler Park Playground

Inglis Park Playground

Large, multi-level playground featuring swings (including accessible swings), tunnels, slides, climbing mounds and talk tubes all on the ground floor. There is a circular raised platform with further access to the double spiral slides via a climbing net.

Cafes and restaurants are across the lane at the Newmarket precinct, where public toilets are also located.

The playground is illuminated at night, which is helpful for families having dinner at the nearby restaurants.

Parking is the one drawback of this playground. Street parking can be extremely limited, as the playground is located in a busy area (near two schools and across the road from the Prince of Wales and Royal Womens’ Hospitals). However, most street parking nearby is time limited, which does mean there is some turnover in parking spaces.

Randwick Sustainability Hub Playground

Fenced playground in the Randwick Environment Park, best suited for smaller children or toddlers. Includes a wooden pirate ship with slide, and spring toys.

There is an upright piano for public use near the playground (on the opposite side of the “Sustainable Classroom” building next to the playground). There are several broken keys, but this takes little away from toddlers’ enjoyment.

The playground is next to a pre-school.
