Bondi Park Playground

Recommended

Fenced | Partial Shade | Water Fountain | Toilets

Address Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach 2026

Fenced playground at Bondi Beach with several play areas, including jungle gyms, swings, slides, spring toys, and musical instruments spread across a soft fall flooring area, sand pit, grassed area, concrete and nature play area. Some of the equipment is older (such as the swings), but this doesn’t lessen the enjoyment of the playground in any way.

Each entrance to the playground requires going through two separate gates, to prevent little ones getting out on their own.

Bondi Park also includes a skatepark nearby, an outdoor workout area, and barbecues.

There are public toilets a short walk from the playground, in the Bondi Pavillion. There is also a disabled toilet, and a separate family change room with a baby change table (but no toilet).

There are a number of restaurants within Bondi Pavillion. There are also plenty of takeaway shops, cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk away along the main shopping strip and surrounding streets.

There is a metered carpark along Queen Elizabeth Drive, and parking on surrounding streets. There is two hour free parking on Ramsgate Ave and Brighton Blvd, about 5-10 minutes’ walk from the playground. Parking is almost always difficult to find at Bondi Beach, due to its popularity.

Fenced | Partial Shade | Water Fountain | Toilets

Address Paul St, Bondi Junction NSW 2022

Large, fenced playground with multiple play areas for different ages and abilities. There are six swings available, including a carer swing and an accessible swing, next to a large hamster wheel and see-saw. The toddler zone includes spring toys, and a small jungle gym with ramps and slides.

There are a number of different musical instruments, including a xylophone. A nature play area features balancing logs and a small water play zone with a hand pump. A wide slide is set in a soft-fall slope with climbing mounds for younger children.

The centrepiece of the park is the large rocket and multi-story jungle gym with a large spiral slide. The rocket has multiple levels that can be climbed between, with talk tubes connecting each. There is a mission control play area in front of the rocket, with buttons and levers for “launching” the rocket. On hot days, the “launch” involves water vapour shooting out of the bottom of the rocket.

There is a kiosk a short walk away from the playground, open 7am to 3pm every day. There are also toilets available near the kiosk.

A couple of notes of caution - the main gates to the playground are low enough that toddlers can open the latches, and there is only natural shade provided on the edges of the park. So come prepared for full sun during most of the day.

There is a small car park on St Mary’s Avenue with two hour parking, and another small car park off Paul Street (also with two hour parking). There is also timed parking on surrounding streets.
